
Mr. Briant O. Mills is President and Chief Executive Officer of Mills Athletic Council. Mr. Mills has been a coach for youth athletics’ for over 15 years. He is a motivated professional with comprehensive knowledge in Sales, Insurance, Management, and Real Estate Operations. He has a well-rounded background with extensive experience in marketing, staff training, and account development. Briant has five children: Briant II, Brandon, Bradlee, Braxton and Jasmine.

Mr. Carl Wurtz has been coaching Youth Basketball for 20 years. He has coached both Boys and Girls from K-12. His experience has covered Travel, Rec and AAU Teams from Ohio, Pennsylvania and here in Illinois. He has worked with AAU Clubs and has participated in National Tournaments and Qualifiers. He has extensive AAU Travel experience with all 3 of his children. Carl is the Operations Supervisor at Clover Technologies Group in Oglesby Il . Clover is 600MM Global Corporation specializing in Closed Loop Environmental Solutions. Carl and his wife Connie have 3 children Joshua, Matthew and Samantha, who is entering her 5th Year with the Lady Raptors.

Mr. Jeff Blanzy has spent the majority of his life in the basketball arena. Growing up in Michigan, Blanzy was an Honorable Mention High School All-American. He went on to play college basketball at Eastern Michigan University and Niagara University where he earned a degree in communications. He has 10-years of coaching experience at the HS level and in youth basketball. Jeff is currently in his second season with the Raptors program. He and his wife, Shelley, have 3 children. Tara, Paige, and Blake. For the last 11-years, Jeff was a sports anchor at WLS TV (ABC) in Chicago. Currently he is a part of the travel industry with World Ventures.

Mrs. Turkessa Williams has been a volunteer basketball coach for 4 years, she is recent graduated with an Associate degree in Business Administration and Medical Billing Coding. She own’s "The Cake Lady" a bakery that produces Southern style Cakes. Turkessa and her husband Shawn have 3 children Darren, Derron and Monique.

Mr. Armond Frazier grew up playing basketball on the west side of Chicago, he played high school basketball at Willowbrook High School where he reached varsity as a sophmore. Mr. Frazier served in the U.S. Air Force and played on the base basketball team in Montgomery, AL. After his release from the military he taught Physical Education.

Mr. Christopher Reynolds has coached athletics for over 14 years, including basketball and football. Chris started coaching while in the US Army for the Special Olympics, and then from there as a mentor coach for at-risk youth in St. Louis, MO. Coach Chris has three children, DeAndre, Deborah and Christopher. Currently Chris works as a business intelligence architect for Fortune 500 companies.

Roxanne Hall began her athletic adventure in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. It was there that she pursued the sports of cross country and track and field. After creating a solid foundation she relocated to the state of Maryland where she was able to expanded upon her abilities in a tremendous way. That opportunity afforded her to break school and county records and focus her strengths in all sprinting and relay events. Roxanne has accumulated over 80 medals, competed on a state and international level in Europe on a USA team. Currently she can be found participating in local 5k charitable races and has sought after a career as a preschool teacher where she finds it an honor to educate the lives of children.

Mr. Reginald L. Wright has coached youth athletics including basketball & soccer for 8 years. Reggie and his wife, Lisa, have three children: Nichole, Wilyam and Wynston. Mr. Wright has +20 years in information technology working in various industries and holds a bachelors degree from Chicago State University in Business Administration concentrating in Management Information Systems.

Mr. David L. Dortch Jr. was a former all around athlete at Steinmetz high school where he played Basketball, Track and ran Cross Country, he then attended Taylor Business Institute where he majored in electrical engineering and finished with a certificate in computer repair.

Anita Robinson has been a coach for basketball for 7yrs, Attended Perry Central High school in New Augusta MS. Anita graduate from Delta State University in Cleveland MS with a bachelor degree in Business Administration where she was a member of the women basketball program that won the division II National Champions for the years 88’-89’, 89’-90’. She is the mother of three beautiful children: Brianna, Dohndray, and A’marion.

Rick Drozdowski has coached youth sports for the last nine years. He was honored as an All Area/ All Sectional soccer player while attending Buffalo Grove High School. He continued his love of soccer by playing at Eastern Illinois University on a full scholarship while obtaining his Bachelor degree. He has worked for the Aurora Police Department for the last 19 years. He and his wife Cheryl have two daughters, Taylor and Sydney.

Ray Dennis is the IL Raptors Director of Operations, President of the Mills Athletic Council Steering Committee and Head Coach for the 5th Grade Boys Team. He’s originally from St. Louis, MO, where he attended Clayton High School and was a multi-sport athlete in basketball, baseball and football. He’s a graduate from Hampton University with a Bachelors of Science degree in CIS. He has more than 15 years of coaching experience in competitive youth sports in basketball and football. Ray resides in Plainfield, IL with his Wife Carla and 3 children: Maya, Ray J. and Amber. He’s very active in the community through mentoring At-Risk Youth and serves on the Board of Directors for several Not-For-Profit organizations. Ray possesses over 20 years of professional experience in human resources and procurement and currently works at RR Donnelley as Director of Global Strategic Sourcing.

Akilah Anderson a graduate from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater with a bachelor degree in Health, Human Performance, and Recreation. She was a athlete at Batavia High School where she played basketball and ran track. She has participated and been involved with Track & Field for the past 17 years. She competed in the Junior Olympics at a young age as well as was an All Conference Champion and State Qualifier in track throughout high school.

Mrs. Pam Young, Administrator for the Mills Athletic Council, Inc has been involved with club athletics for several years. She is a former all state tennis and badminton player from Streamwood High school. She went on to earn her degree in Administrative Justice from Southern Illinois University, and Minored in Psychology. She has coached volleyball for Fox Valley Park District and Holy Angels (Aurora) School. Before joining Aurora School District 129 as a school monitor, she ran her own business for 13 years as a Licensed Home Day Care Provider. Pam and her husband Scott have 4 children, Emily, Benjamin, Samuel and Joshua.
